What are FOs? FOs are Finished Objects. A finished object is any item knitted, crocheted, woven, felted, spun or otherwise transformed from Dyeabolical yarns or spinning fibers into another form (e.g. yarn knitted in to mittens, warp crocheted in to dishcloths, fiber in to a felted object, dyed top spun in to yarn).
Now, let's see what everyone has made this summer:
Corrina Ferguson designed another beautiful shawl, this time using Dyeabolical 2-Ply Merino Laceweight. Natessa uses one skein of the laceweight and it just gorgeous! You can buy the pattern here and buy some laceweight from Dyeabolical here (it would be fantastic in any color, but I think this yellow gold would make an amazing sunny shawl). (project page)
Susan Anderson finished up a couple projects out of Dyeabolical this summer. First up, she knit the Thin Ice shawl out of some handspun from Dyeabolical roving. I just love the stripes - this looks like a perfect shawl for those chilly air conditioned buildings in the summer. (blog post)
She also knit the Little Shells shawlette out of the Sporty base in Themyscira. I just love this - it would look great in any of the colors in the Super Ego yarn. (blog page)
From Eleanor (alwysknit), we have a pair of toe-up socks using Strong Arm Skinny in Themyscira. Simple stockinette is a fantastic way to show off your variegated yarns & these socks are a great example of that. (project page)
Continuing with socks, Lindey (LuckyLindey) used a sock club yarn - Miss Adelaide & Her Debutantes - to make the Lacy Ribs Socks. Another great pattern for variegated yarns. (project page)
Kim (wheelinsticks) used the discontinued Cotton Slub for an Amiga - this is a great summer sweater (well, it's great for those summers when it hasn't been over 100 degrees most days). (project page)
Jenn (Jenn86) finished a great Vittorio out of Strong Arm Skinny in Jo Rides a Motorbike. I just love seeing all the finished Vittorio's using Dyeabolical. If you haven't made yours yet, Alter Ego is a great shawl yarn. (project page)
Sally (seedesigns) also used Strong Arm Skinny to knit some great ribbed socks out of the Roma colorway. I do love the way these pooled. (project page)
Phew! Now lets look at the handspun.
Scott (aka Mr. Dyeabolical) spun up this great yarn from Dyeabolical batts.
Lisa from Fybernymph also used Dyeabolical batts to make this pretty corespun yarn.
Susan Anderson also spun up this fabulous bulky yarn from 4oz of Falkland in Themyscira. So pretty. (blog post)
Jen (palomaeatsyarn) used a Mixed BFL fiber in Carnivale to spin up this great yarn. (yarn page)
Finally, Kim (wheelinsticks) finished up her Manxome Foe club fiber (Oatmeal BFL/silk). (yarn page)
Lots of great projects and handspun this summer, everyone! As always, thanks to Rachel's customers & friends for letting me share your finished projects and handspun. If you would like me to include your FO in an upcoming post (or if I have forgotten anyone!) email me or message me through Ravelry. I'll "see" you again next month for the August post!
